1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the PulseView License Manager service ("Service"). This policy is designed to protect PulseView Systems, our customers, and the general internet community from irresponsible or illegal activities.
Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.
2. Prohibited Activities
2.1 Illegal Activities
You may not use the Service to:
- Engage in any illegal activity or promote illegal activities
- Violate any local, national, or international law
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Engage in fraud, phishing, or identity theft
- Harass, threaten, or abuse others
2.2 License Abuse
You may not:
- Share license keys with unauthorized users
- Resell or redistribute licenses without authorization
- Attempt to circumvent license restrictions
- Use automated tools to generate or validate licenses
- Activate more devices than permitted by your license
- Modify, reverse engineer, or tamper with license validation
2.3 System Abuse
You may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Launch denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
- Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without authorization
- Bypass security measures or authentication mechanisms
- Use the Service to attack third-party systems
2.4 Spam and Unsolicited Communications
You may not:
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk emails
- Use the Service for mass marketing without consent
- Harvest email addresses or other user data
- Create fake accounts or impersonate others
2.5 Resource Abuse
You may not:
- Excessively consume system resources
- Run automated scripts that impact service performance
- Create an unreasonable number of API requests
- Use the Service in a way that degrades performance for other users
3. Account Responsibilities
3.1 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Using strong passwords and enabling two-factor authentication
You must:
- Provide accurate and current information
- Update your information promptly when it changes
- Not create accounts with false or misleading information
- Not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
4. Content Standards
4.1 User-Generated Content
Any content you submit (support tickets, feedback, etc.) must not:
- Contain illegal, harmful, or offensive material
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Contain personal information of others without consent
- Include malicious code or links
- Be defamatory, discriminatory, or hateful
4.2 Company Names and Branding
You may not:
- Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without permission
- Imply endorsement or partnership without authorization
- Create confusion about the source of products or services
5. API Usage
5.1 Rate Limits
API usage is subject to rate limits. Exceeding these limits may result in temporary suspension of API access.
5.2 API Restrictions
You may not:
- Use the API to build competing services
- Scrape or collect data in violation of our Terms
- Cache or store data beyond reasonable operational needs
- Resell API access to third parties
6. Reporting Violations
6.1 How to Report
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to:

- Subject: "AUP Violation Report"
- Include: Details of the violation, evidence, and your contact information
6.2 Investigation
We will investigate all reported violations and take appropriate action, which may include:
- Warning the violating user
- Temporarily suspending the account
- Permanently terminating the account
- Reporting to law enforcement if necessary
7. Enforcement
7.1 Violation Consequences
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- First Offense: Warning and request to cease activity
- Second Offense: Temporary suspension (7-30 days)
- Third Offense or Severe Violation: Permanent account termination
We reserve the right to immediately terminate accounts for:
- Illegal activities
- Security threats or attacks
- Severe or repeated violations
- Fraud or payment disputes
7.3 No Refunds
Accounts terminated for AUP violations are not eligible for refunds.
8. Cooperation with Law Enforcement
We cooperate with law enforcement agencies and may disclose user information when:
- Required by law or legal process
- Necessary to protect our rights or property
- Necessary to protect user safety or public safety
- Investigating suspected illegal activity
9. Monitoring and Auditing
We reserve the right to:
- Monitor Service usage for compliance with this AUP
- Audit accounts suspected of violations
- Review content and communications as necessary
- Use automated tools to detect abuse
However, we are not obligated to monitor all user activity and cannot guarantee detection of all violations.
10. Appeals
If your account is suspended or terminated, you may appeal by:
- Sending an email to support@pulseview.se
- Including your account information and reason for appeal
- Providing any evidence supporting your case
We will review appeals within 5 business days. Our decision is final.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
