Quick Start Guide

Get your first kiosk device up and running with PulseView in just a few minutes.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • A PulseView account
  • At least one license (you can purchase licenses from the dashboard)
  • A device to activate

Step 1: Purchase a License

  1. Navigate to Dashboard → Purchase
  2. Select the number of licenses you need
  3. Choose your license duration (1, 3, or 12 months)
  4. Complete the checkout process

Your licenses will be available immediately after payment.

Step 2: Activate Your Device

Option A: Using the Dashboard

  1. Go to Dashboard → Licenses
  2. Find your unused license
  3. Click Activate
  4. Enter your device information:
    • Device ID (unique identifier)
    • Device Name (optional, for easy identification)
  5. Click Confirm

Step 3: Verify Activation

After activation, you should see:

  • Your device listed in Dashboard → Devices
  • The license status changed to "Active"
  • Device information populated

Step 4: Configure Your Device

  1. Navigate to Dashboard → Devices
  2. Click on your newly activated device
  3. Configure settings as needed:
    • Display name
    • Location
    • Notes

Next Steps

Now that your device is activated, you can:

Troubleshooting

License activation failed

  • Verify your license key is correct
  • Check that the license hasn't expired
  • Ensure the device ID is unique

Device not showing up

  • Wait a few seconds and refresh the page
  • Check your internet connection
  • Verify the activation was successful
